These 4 images represent potential new concepts for the FF home page. We don’t need to use any of these specific images, or even the concepts. But the idea is to either pick a concept from above and then explore more images for that concept, or conceive a new concept altogether and consider new images to reflect that.
1. The “Human Connection” Approach (Positive & Aspirational)
Instead of focusing on the fire, focus on the human impact. This appeals to the generation that wants to work in fields where they feel they are making a tangible difference in their community. There are different ways to represent this concept.
2. The “Preparation & Grit” Approach (Disaster-Adjacent)
This leans into the reality of the career, which is often a major draw for people in their 20s looking for a challenging, high-stakes profession. Of course, there are different ways to depict this.
3. The “Abstract Legacy” Approach (Thematic & Evergreen)
This concept moves away from a single “hero” figure and toward the broader scope of the career. There are other ways to represent this concept, as well as each of these 4 concepts.
4. The “Action-Oriented Transition” Approach (Mid-Action)
This maintains the “disaster/drama” theme and “Firefighter as a hero” concept. We can explore different ways to represent this.
